Monterey County Deploys Job Order Contracting After Devastating Flood
March of 2023 brought pounding rain to Pajaro, a community of 3,500 residents in California’s Monterey County. The storm breached a nearby levee, and the ensuing flood brought Pajaro to its knees. Before the waters receded completely, Monterey County officials were planning their response.
