4 Important Items to Check Off Your Summer Construction To-Do List
Most of the country takes a break during the summer months. Facilities teams, pressed to complete construction projects in a season of longer days and higher temperatures, work a little harder. To help these teams make the most of the busy season, we put together a brief collection of items to check off their summer construction to-do lists before construction actually starts.
Prioritize projects. Order materials and equipment with a long lead time. Line up contractors (potentially through a co-op). And set some budget aside for the unexpected. This list is hardly exhaustive; there are still more things facilities teams need to do to prepare for summer construction projects. But these foundational items should be addressed first if you want to make the most of the busy season.
