Housing Authority Renovations Improve Resident Experience
Pennsylvania’s Harrisburg Housing Authority provides affordable housing options to more than 5,000 residents. The city’s largest residential property owner, the Authority prides itself on delivering safe homes and robust services that support self-sufficiency and offer residents opportunities to excel.
However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, mandated lockdowns and other restrictions brought community improvement efforts to a standstill.
Once restrictions were lifted, Authority leaders needed a way to ramp up work quickly. They turned to their cooperative purchasing association, the Keystone Purchasing Network (KPN), in search of a turnkey solution for tackling these urgent projects.
Watch this video to see how Gordian’s Job Order Contracting (JOC) helped complete more than 1,100 housing authority renovations including tree removal, playground upgrades and concrete walkway replacements. You’ll hear contractors and HHA leaders discuss how JOC gave them the tools to begin construction quickly, communicate clearly and deliver award-winning results for residents and the surrounding community.
See all the ways Gordian helps state and local government leaders effectively manage the building lifecycle.
